Choose The Right Fabric Of Bridal Gown-Part 2

When you first begin planning your big day; this is usually the right time to start thinking about, whether or not you may purchase a stock wedding gown, have it special order, or even custom-made.

Most special-ordered bridal gowns take up to twelve weeks for delivery. Having your wedding dress custom-made, has been known to take even longer. It is important that you consider the fabric selection prior to having a dress handmade. If you are thinking about choosing a color other than white, it is never to early to start looking for the right bridal gown. Having a good idea of what the bridal gown fabric is, only helps to speed up this process. For most handmade dresses, I usually recommend taffeta, silk or satin fabrics to choose from. Fabrics such as crepe and organza are easy to snag, which makes them an easy cop-out if the tailor makes a mistake.

 

Silk and hand-spun silk taffeta, happen to be my two personal favorites out of all the bridal fabrics featured in this article. Nevertheless, many brides do not care for the rustling sound, taffeta makes when you walk around and move about. I personally love it. It is the one true sound of quality and elegance, only a fabric like taffeta can make. It is the preferred material for the upper elite and royal weddings. It is legendary.

So i have been browsing around looking for some nice embroidered or beaded fabric, preferably organza or taffeta online and the stores, was wondering if anyone had any good sites for me to possibly look at. I would like the fabric base to be white (any site are welcome though), or if you know a good shop in Alberta , Calgary and south that would be helpful too. Thanks in advance.
