what is a good guitar that has a "velvet touch" ( barely need to touch strings)?

I was playing an old ibenez the other night, and it was so easy to play you can just barely touch the strings to get a golden sound, i have an ephiphone sg its nice but it was no where like playing that one. I was thinking about getting a Gibson SG, are those really good quality welll i know they are but does it feel "nice" to play ifya catch my drift

Feel is personal. I had an SG back in the seventies and thought it was the greatest guitar on Earth. Then I quit playing for 22 years. When I came back to playing I tried an SG at the local music store and thought the neck was uncomfortable. I now play a strat. I want to eventually get a double coiled pick up guitar but I would go for the Ibanez myself. I have an Ibanez bass and an Ibanez acoustic and both are excellent instruments. In the end, it is all about what feels good to you. My opinion, Gibson is way over priced so I would go with the Ibanez.
