Pink lip gloss is becoming more popular as the gloss shade of choice for many women. Today's cosmetic manufacturers are able to create multitudes of different formulas and effects that make some lip glosses almost look magical in the tube. Shimmer formula's can come with beautiful flecks of gold, silver, bronze, and even multi-colored sparkles.

Lip glosses with shimmer are big sellers because they accentuate the lips in a soft, subtle, but definitely sexy way. Light pink shimmery lip glosses are favored by women who want to make their small lips look fuller. Lighter lip colors are much less high-maintenance and can sometimes be applied directly to the lips without even looking into a mirror.

Pale lip shades are much more forgiving and less exacting in their application which makes them so popular at the cosmetic counter.  Pink is popular with the young and old alike. Young women love how the right shade of pink looks fabulous with a tan. Older women love how pink lip shades soften the look of aging and give the face a youthful lift.

The Pink Personality

The color choices we make in life say a great deal about our personalities. From the cars we drive to our clothing and home decor, the colors we prefer say something about us. Even our lip color sends a message to ourselves and everyone else around us. A woman wearing a fire engine red lip color is seen as super-confident, outgoing, and in charge of her sexuality.

The Many Shades Of Pink

The color pink is created by softening the color red with white. If the original shade of red was a blue-based red, adding white to it produces a very cool-toned shade of pink. If the red was more in the red-orange family we end up with shades of peach-pink.

Soft Baby Pink

Soft, very pale pink speaks of innocence and youth. This is the most feminine of shades and is often the first shade of pink a young girl will start off with.  Wearing baby-pink lipstick shows the world that you love being a girl.

Natural Flesh-Toned Pink

Pink lip gloss in this color range tries to match the natural pigmentation of the lips and is one of the easiest colors to apply. Lip color shades that are a perfect match with your natural lip color are much more fuss- free than darker shades.

Bright, Vivid Pink

Here is the sassy, vivacious shade of pink. Women who wear hot pink lip color are flirty and passionate. There is no doubt that hot pink lips are just as sexy and eye-catching as red lips.

The most positive aspect of wearing pink lip colors is the fun, youthful feeling that pink gives the wearer. Cosmetics should always be fun and pink lip colors are most definitely that. Check your lipstick collection and see which shades you seem to have more of. If you have more lip colors in the pink range, you most likely have a "pink personality".
