Starting Tap Dancing Lesson -What Dancewear You Will Need?

If you love to dance you may be considering starting some tap dancing lessons. Tap dancing is a fun and exciting style of dance and in order to be comfortable and ready for tap dancing lessons you will need to be dressed appropriately in the right dancewear and of course bring your tap dancing shoes.

Before your tap dancing lesson you should go shopping for the dancewear you will need in your class. Check with the instructor or dance studio before the class to double check if there is a dancewear code for the class. If there is no dress code you will be best outfitted in a comfortable pair of tap shoes. Some studios prefer their students to wear black tap shoes to tan tap shoes or tap shoes with a low heel. The color of the tap shoes doesn't really matter unless it is specified by the teacher but you may want to start with a low heel height instead of a high heel height if you are a beginner because the low heel will be easier for a beginner to dance in.

Some people choose to wear a leotard and tights as the most comfortable dancewear choice. Other dancers choose to wear dancewear separates, tracksuits or dance pants and a top. If you wear a leotard it is best to pair the leotard with a pair of tights or leggins because these will keep the legs warm. It is really important to keep warm, especially at the start of a dance class. This makes it less likely you will pull a muscles. If you do wear separates like a workout top and pants make sure the pants are spandex so they have enought stretch and give when you move . It can be dangerous to tap dance in pants with a loose fitting ankle because it is hard to see the feet and you can trip over the hem. Three quarter length dancewear pants such as capri pants or longer pants with a cuff at the ankle are best. Shorts can be worm in the warmer months of course, with a vest or cami top when keeping cool is the important factor. Always remember to wear warm clothes at the start and end of a class. These are essential dancewear items even in the warm months as it is vital not to cool down too quickly at the end of a class and to keep warm if you have been really sweating during a class.

I HATE HOLLISTER SOOO MUCH!!?

I was shopping there earlier today with my mom to look for a birthday gift for my best friend (she is obsessed with Hollister & Abercrombie) and when I was about to pay this anorexic super tanned Blondie taps me on the shoulder and asks me if I would hand her the shirt I was about to purchase. I asked her why and she said "you wouldn't even be able to fit into it anyway, and besides you cant afford anything here you should try shopping at wal-mart, I'm pretty sure they carry XXL" I was super offended I was going to knocker her down, but since I'm Christian I controlled my anger and ran crying out of the mall. I believe she is a racist (considering I am African Canadian) and could I sue the company for something like this, or at least get her fired. This has happened before and I let it go but what should I do now? BTW, I AM ONLY 13!!!

Yes, you should report this to the store company. That is discrimination against consumer rights. She is not allowed to choose who shops at the store.

I also hate Hollister and Aber Crombie too. Seems only preppy kids try to go there to get tight shirts and seem cool and fit in.
