Spots all over my back?

I keep breaking out in these little spots all over my upper back. It seems to happen all the time! I've tried to prevent this by using different soap, wearing loose fitting clothing, making sure I don't overheat, etc. but nothing seems to work!

Has anyone else had this and managed to prevent them? Does anyone know what they are and what actually causes them?

Now that the warm weather's here I want to wear some strappy tops, but my back looks awful! Any suggestions/advice would be welcome!

I know what you mean, I used to get this too.
It's most likely just a break out of acne (It's very common to get it on your chest and back as well as your face).
It's most likely just to do with your hormones and not your general cleanliness, what soap you use, etc.
Stop using chemical products on it for a while, like your back exfoliant. It could be irritating it. If you don't want to completely stop using it, you should definately make sure you don't use it more than once a week. Like your face, exfoliation is harsh on your back and might damage the skin.

A product you might be interested in is The Mask Of Magnaminty, from a shop called Lush. It's a back and face pack that you smear on, let it dry, and then wash off. If you don't have a shop locally, you can buy online.
I have used it and it has really helped me, so I can personally recommend you try it. It's pretty cheap too!
The best thing about it is that it's natural and won't be harsh on your skin with nasty chemicals. I'd recommend you use this on your back instead of your current exfoliator, once a week. It's good, because it smells lovely and minty, makes you skin tingle, really cleans your back and when you wash it off, the bits in it act as exfoliator.
I'd recommend you use it once a week and leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Put it on your face as well if you like - it's lovely!

You could also take some unprescribed tablets.
I recommend Clear Complexion tablets - thy are herbal and you take a couple a day.
They seemed to work for me, and they are cheap so it's definately worth a go.
You should be able to get them from your local pharmacy. I got mine from Holland and Barrat and I've seen them in Tesco as well, so take a look next time you go to the supermarket.
If you can't find them, you can always order online.

If all else fails, go and see your GP and they might be able to prescribe a cream or some tablets for you to use.
I've heard hormone tablets work particularly well, but it's best to get their opinion =]

The person who said that the sun is good on your skin is partially right, but be careful.
The suncream may make your skin oilier and cause more breakouts, but you really cannot go without. Buy a non-greasy moisturising suncream and rub it in really well.
The sun does make some people's spots go away, but some of my friends say that their skin gets worse when they've been in the sun.
The reason it would clear up your spots would be because the sun dries out your skin, so it's not awfully healthy for it. Definately don't go without suncream. x
