For example, some dancers find that lace ups can dig into their feet and prefer slip on jazz shoes which offer a very comfortable alternative whereas others may find that the shape of their foot requires laces for a more secure fit.

Leather or Canvas Split-Sole Ballet Shoes?

I'm getting new ballet shoes this year, and it's the first year I'm allowed to wear canvas ballet shoes, so which should I buy? Thanks! Also, I point my feet well, but will leather ballet shoes help my technique more? I'm going en Pointe in february.
