In the French Quarter of New Orleans they celebrate Mardi Gras, to Brazilians it’s carnival, but the overall effect is the same on the eye - a mid-February riot of colour as flamboyantly  costumed revellers parade through the streets in an explosion of song and dance. A full red base coat, then, with a fine brush, carefully paint your spider’s web either on a cheek or over one side of the face. Ladybirds and bugs are also good. Use the right sized brush or stencils and add the spots as required.
