Flattering Womens Stockings, Sheer Tights, And More

They say clothes make the man, but for women, it's often what you wear underneath the clothes that counts. What would your favorite little black dress be without a pair of flattering womens stockings? How would your tummy look in a babydoll top without a body shaper underneath? Of course, not all women body shapers, opaque and sheer tights, and womens leotards are created equal. Let's explore some of your shaping options, and what to look for in each:

Women Body Shapers

Women body shapers are products designed to make you look slimmer under your clothes. These feel almost like slightly thinner womens leotards, although there are many different styles available. With women body shapers, you have to think about three things: color, cut, and firmness. For color, most women body shapers are available in black and nude. Some women prefer nude, as it is less likely to be visible under light-colored items of clothing. Alternatively, others enjoy black women body shapers, which often look better when getting dressed (or undressed). Women body shapers also come in a variety of cuts, from high-waisted thongs to camisoles to strapless dresses. For these, you want to find a shaper that is similar to the outfit you plan on wearing over it (a halter top requires a halter shaper, etc.). Thus, you might need different shapers for different outfits. Find women body shapers that cover all of your problem areas without too much extra — there's no sense in compressing an already-flat stomach, for example.

Womens Stockings

Womens stockings and sheer tights are both useful components for wearing dresses and skirts with the option of giving yourself added support. They are also great for keeping your legs warm on winter days. Depending on your shaping needs, you might choose womens stockings with extra-spadex "control tops" over the panties; keep in mind, though, that all tights will hold you in at least a little. Like women body shapers, most sheer tights are usually black or nude (and sometimes white), but these are often available in a variety of shades. It might seem silly to have 15 types of nude, for example, but this is going to allow you to find the sheer tights color that best flatters you skin tone. You might even want to invest in multiple shades to go with different outfits.

What color tights with grey dress and blk knee high boots. The solid blk tights or opaque blk or flesh tone?

I bought a really cute belted grey plaid dress. I want to buy some black knee high boots but i dont know what color tights would look best. Flesh tone? or black opaque? I thnk maybe the solid black tights with the black kneehigh boots may be too much black, HELP!!

Black tights are always a safe bet, especially with a pair of black boots the danger in wearing contrasting tights is that it my chop up your silhouette and make you look less long and lean. The black tights will allow for a seamless visual transition from your boots to your dress. Now this is all assuming that your dress is a short one...if your dress reaches the top of your boots then you can play with color a bit because it will just be peeping out from beneath your dress. Stick with greys, olive greens, dark reds, rubines and cooler fall colors...you could even throw in a muted fishnet.
