Western women:

This is the type of rhetoric that polarizing any type of positive dialogue and understanding of Middle Easterners and people of the Muslim faith... No one made any comments about nuns and their habits, which look pretty burka like to me and at one point and even with some dominations of catholics it is still required.

And let's not forget the Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints and the required prairie clothes and child brides, that is rampant amongst them in the USA...Where's the campaign to stop them, afterall child molesting is against the law in the USA.

Once again, Americans and you know who are stereotyping a group of women out of ignorance while not cleaning up their own backyard....

Alot of Muslim wear their burka and chadora proudly because they are proud of their religion and culture, because of the rules or social norms are not related to religion as it is a cultura norm...You would be hard press to find any religion that does not indocrinate that women's role is submissive to her husband...Many of Christians still preach that...

These extremists in the Muslim world are just a small percentage who practice this strict and cruelty to women, you know what most of you are going to say about the FLDS (that they do not represent the whole of American and its culture). Perhaps you should apply that to everyone else...A human condition.

BTW, It doesn't matter what American wear or allowed to do or not, FACT is...Most women murdered in America, are murdered by a spouse or boyfriend....Not to mention we have domestic violence issue ourselves.

So, I agree it is twisted to malign others when you got the same shyt going on in your own backyard...That you do nothing about man or women...So far you haven't stop the FDLS.....
