Liturgical Praise Church

Christian Dance Restoration!
Christian dancing and prophetical movement is such a powerful and marvelous way to show our spirit to God.
For generations dance has played a key part in the amazing and assorted expressions of Jewish and Christian worship and liturgy. Jewish and Christian recognition of God has ever included dance and movement. across the ages and in the Bible we encounter that dance and movement is present as the citizenry of God worship unitedly and lift their hearts to God. Again and again we observe the adoration of the God of Bible includes dance and movement. Christian dance is not a foreign incident. Psalms declares;
Psa. 149:3 Let them praise God with dancing
Not only once, but again:
Psa. 150:4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
I am sure you will agree, the Bible is open about Christian dance and movement in adoration.
Giving ourselves to God in this way, spirit, soul and body, is to be expected when we regard the great salvation we relish though Christ.
The Bible commands we worship and love God with all of our being, with all our heart, mind and force. To dance before Him in praise and thankfulness is part of this expression of devotion and love. Christian dance and prophetic motion is undoubtedly part of this full bodied worship in heart and soul.
It is our calling to enjoy God in this manner.
It is awe-inspiring to see how Christian dance has become so much a component of adoration in many groups across the planet over the last few decades. united with other worship expressions, the voice, instruments and even painting, and more modern additions such as projections and lighting, a fresh move of redemptive worship is emerging in which dance is playing a paramount part. When we meet unitedly to rejoice in our God like this, everyone's heart is lifted, as they witness God's people passionately expressing their grateful hearts to their Creator.
Let Christian dance become part of your wholehearted vocabulary of praise to your God. Let Him see and savor all of who you are. As you give yourself to Him, more of His love and grace can stream through you to others. Our personal worship as we dance before Him solo, will surely overspill in public, and anointing will set congregations free.
Do not restrain back in your declaration of love to your rescuer.
The greatness of God's character is being expressed more and more completely as we prepare for the return of our Heavenly Bridegroom, Jesus Christ. As a Christian dancer and worshipper of the king you are part of this restoration.

What would be a good name for a liturgical/dance group?
am the owner of a dance studio and this year would like to form a group to travel and dance at area churches. We have lots of dancers and ideas for praise dances etc. However, we are stuck at what to call our group. Leap of Faith is one that many have mentioned, but I have heard other groups in surrounding areas with this name. Any suggestions?

Ceremonies of the Liturgical Year $17.95 The liturgy of the Catholic Church is the action by which Jesus Christ unites the members of the Church in glorifying God. It makes people holy through words, music, action and signs. The Eucharist is intended to be the most powerful means of union with our God, with the saints in heaven and with each other, and is to be a foretaste of the praise of God given in joy by the saints in heaven. As we move through the whole of the year, the Church is united with the mysteries of Christ's earthly life so as to come closer to her Lord and Saviour. Monsignor Peter Elliott provides scholarship and many years' experience and love of the liturgy. His previous work Ceremonies of the Modern Roman Rite has helped many people to celebrate our liturgy with attention and devotion. This present work is a guide to the most important moments of the Church year from Advent and Christmas to Holy Week, Corpus Christi and to the Solemnity of Christ the King. His book has been a long-awaited guide to those who wish to celebrate the events of the Church year with dignity, devotion, and deep faith. ???Monsignor Elliot is one of the most insightful and reliable liturgists writing today. The rubrics of the Roman Rite are not self-explaining, but with Elliot's work safely in reach, a generation of liturgists raised without a rich training in tradition can confidently approach the Ritual and be more respectful of the faithful's fundamental right to sound worship.??? Liturgical Art for a Media Culture $9.45 Ours is a culture steeped in media and technology, a fact that fascinates some and frightens others. Because media permeates every aspect of our lives, church leaders would do well to discern when and how it might be appropriately used in liturgical settings. In Liturgical Art for a Media Culture Eileen Crowley provides a powerful aid in that discernment process. By first addressing such basics as the vocabulary and historical context of media in Christian worship, Crowley helps to ease readers` fears. By looking honestly at the "perils and possibilities" of media in worship - and by giving readers both a framework for evaluating and a model for implementing media in worship - Crowley guides the reader`s fascination with media into channels appropriate for worship. This is a timely source for those who wish to use media and technology as a way to vitalize, yet not obstruct, worship and liturgy. |

Liturgical Question Box $12.95 Should we hold hands during the "Our Father"? Is liturgical dancing OK? Should the priest say "Good morning" at Mass? And what about those water lillies sprouting in our new font? Msgr. Peter Elliott responds to these and many other liturgical questions in a clear and, at times humorous way. He deals with the questions people have about the way Mass and the Sacraments are meant to be celebrated. Based largely on Msgr. Elliott's replies to problems first raised in a question box format in the mission magazine Christ to the World , this book includes not only broad issues but also many questions relating to the fine details that make up Catholic worship. Liturgical Question Box also gives the author of Ceremonies of the Modern Roman Rite the opportunity to explain positions in more detail he took in that book. Because this book is technically accurate and based on experience and pastoral common sense, it is a reliable guide for pastors, seminarians, liturgical committees, servers, etc. - and for perplexed laity who want to know what should be done in celebrating the Liturgy. Its strong spiritual tone and confident approach should appeal to a wider audience and make it a welcome resource for anyone who wants to promote the mystery, splendor and majesty of Catholic worship today. Msgr. Peter Elliott is a priest of the Archdiocese of Melbourne, Australia who works in the Vatican. His area of expertise is the liturgical life of the Church. He is the author of the best-selling Ceremonies of the Modern Roman Rite. ' |
