The importance of choosing the right leotard for ballerinas

In the year1681, the then society permitted females to dance, and become professional dancers to dance in public. It was first performed in France. The leading female dancer is known as Ballerina. To achieve the status of a Ballerina is not an easy task. They have to regularly exercise, practice and learn difficult techniques of ballet dancing. Normally, the Ballerina has a Ballet body. To have such a body they use the dancer's technique to develop sleeker, stronger, and flexible physique. It is easy to spot a dancer with a ballet body. The movement of a ballerina is full of fluidity and gracefulness. Ballerina wears a Leotard to perform the dance. The German term used for leotard is Gymnastikanzug. Leotard is a unisex skin-tight one-piece dress that covers the body and torso leaving the legs free. It was first made by the famous French acrobat Jules Leotard (1842-1870). Initially Leotard was known as Maillot and was intended for men. Now-a-days leotard is being used by gymnasts, acrobats, circus, dancers' and even athletes. It is used for both as a practice dress and also in performance. Leotard can be a short sleeved, half sleeved, and long sleeved, having scoop neck, crew neck or polo neck in design. It is a variation from Unitard, which provides the user, comparatively a loose fit. Both garments are made of excellent fabric made of 88% cotton and 12% lycra. Leotards are commonly used by traditional ballet dancers and gymnasts, particularly young children. They use sleeveless leotard during practice and long sleeve during their performance. As a matter of fact, many leotards are designed primarily for women, but, actually they are unisex. It was a marketing failure and was detected in early 2009. To add to the gracefulness of the dance the ballerina's started using pointe shoes. Its invention was one of the most revolutionary event in early 1830's.Pointe shoes are shoes with no discrimination to right or left foot. It is stiffened at the toe and the end is flattened. Ideally, a pointe shoe fits as a second skin to the feet. This was designed and developed perfectly 150 years back. Many professional ballerina orders for custom made pointe shoes. Because of its delicacy; it has to be changed for wear, during dance. Changing of the shoes depends on the intensity of the dance. The German term for pointe shoes is Spintzenschuh. Leggings are also used during ballet dancing. It has a variety of products like short leggings, long leggings, and stirrup leggings.
