Men's Clothing and Women's Clothing – A Look at What's Hot in 2011

Jeans are one of the few fashionable items that never seem to go out of style. While skinny jeans were popular in 2010, 2011 is going to also be about comfort, as both men and women also opt for baggier styles often made with patchwork-style decorations.

2010 vs. 2011

Last spring welcomed the re-introduction of hot pants and shorts as well as lacey clothing and knee high socks. This year, the casual, hippy-chick style is back and it is all about accessorising. Men should be wearing fedora hats matched with simple accessories such as belts or watches, while for women, accessorising is limitless with rows of dangly bracelets, long necklaces and chunky earrings. Scarves are still a great way to brighten up any outfit in 2011. Men's clothing is casual this year with printed t-shirts attracting a lot of attention along with baggy jeans and combat trousers.

Military style outfits are definitely worth looking at this year with trendy army-style jackets proving popular with style icons like Sienna Miller. Jump suits are also in fashion but pulling off this all-in-one look takes a lot of effort, and the style and print must be considered according to the individual's body shape. This style of women's clothing is suitable for those who dare to stand out. Men's clothing is simple in 2011 with last year's seriously smart styles replaced by the complete opposite with everything from hoodies through to t-shirts proving popular on the catwalks. Women's clothing in 2011 is all about comfort and long dresses as well as shorts, simple t-shirts and patched jeans.

Unique Trends

Maxi dresses are, again, popular this year. The flowing, floor-length dresses with bright patterns are still very stylish. The brighter the colour and the bolder the patterns, the better. For women's clothing, casual is also in this year and t-shirts and flowery blouses are everywhere. Last year welcomed knee high socks, ripped denim and clothes with bows and thanks to the effortless sexy simplistic style of Twilight favourite Kristen Stewart; women all over the world took to wearing their boyfriend's checkered blazers and shirts.

While there is nothing new about lace, unique lacey garments were all the rage last year as everything from lace dresses to lace skirts looked great on budding followers of fashion. This year is seeing a change in fashion for men's clothing and Zac Efron can regularly be seen setting the pace with jackets teamed with casual trainers, brightly coloured shirts and the occasional fedora hat highly welcomed.

Whatever style you opt for in 2011, you can be sure that you will be comfortable as men's clothing and women's clothing in 2011 is about unfussy styles. The relaxed look is in and informal designs apply to both sexes. Make the most of the summer fashion this year in comfortable shorts, simple t-shirts and accessories.
