Dancewear Wardrobe Update - What Will I Need?

Shopping for dancewear today is a breeze! There are so many people performing in theater that looking for the right kind of outfit to wear is easier than ever. im 14 , a freshman in highschool , i've always wanted to take dance lessons but never got to. I'm really looking into starting either irish step or ballet! now im not super flexible (but that can be achieved over time i guess) but i do figure skate , if that helps! i'm not much of a sporty person (like basketball , soccer , etc.) but i love to dance , i find myself akwardly dancing around the house actually... the place i am looking into taking lessons does offer ones for my age.its either dance and skate , or skate and try out for the basketball team (which i'm pretty sure i would fail at , and wouldnt enjoy as much) and also i was wondering should i do both irish step and ballet or just one ?(if just one , which one do you think?)so should i do it? or would i look like a complete idiot? thanks everyone! I've been dancing since I was a toddler, and many think that older kids are "too" old to dance at a later age. ITS A LIE!!! haha, Look you might need to take a lower class for a little while to learn the basics but it won't hold you back, my friend just started and she is 13 she got put in a class a step lower than mine but is catching on quick, try ballet and Irish stepdancing and if they both fit in your schedule and it is not too much money then do both, if its only one of the three I would say try them all then follow your heart. Who Knows? Maybe You'll be a famous ballerina with the New York City Ballet Someday
