What are some symbols of summer suitable for a costume?

My two girls and I are discussing our Halloween costumes for this year. For example, I'm going to be "winter", I'll wear a long white cloth with snow flakes on it. I'll put pine cones in my hair and wear white fur trimmed boots. One of my daughters will be spring. She'll wear a short fairy dress with little pink flowers all over it. I'll put butterflies in her hair and maybe a bird's nest on her shoulder.
My other daughter wants to be summer, but I can't think of anything that would really say summer. Any ideas?

Maybe she could dress in yellow or be some sort of sun? Would it be too cold by then for her to wear sunglasses and a hula skirt or beach wear? Here's a summertime fairy, although it might be too big for her (for an idea anyway)
