These days we come across trendy boys and girls piercing different parts of their bodies and wearing varieties, styles and designs of Belly Button Jewelry. Previously Gold and other precious materials such as Gem, Stones and Jewels were mostly used for making Body Rings but nowadays, innumerable numbers of materials are used to craft these Belly Button Rings. The most common among such materials are Gold, Silver, Gold Plated, White Metal, Surgical Steel, Titanium Anodized, Titanium, Acrylic UV, Sterling Silver, PTFE, Bio Flex, Gem, Jeweled and Stones.

Captive Bead Rings and Hoops are circular in shape, where one end of the wire is slightly curved to hook at the tiny loop at the other end. Other designs includes, single bead in one end to hide the joining or double beads on both end to spring pressure catch on the ears and nose.

How do you make sure a hoop belly button piercing isnt loose?

I just got my belly button pierced yesterday and the ball on the hoop turns and i just wanted to make sure that it wont come undone and fall out. So how can you take tighten it? Also how do you take the ball off of this jewelry, i believe that it is called a CBR (captive bead ring).

The balls in captive rings will spin freely.. there's no avoiding it. To remove the ball of a CBR, you'll need a pair of ring-opening pliers (if its a larger gauge) to expand the ring slightly, or if its a smaller gauge, you can just pop the ball out by gripping the ball between your thumb and first finger of one hand, and gripping the ring with the same two fingers of your other hand, and pulling them in opposite directions.

If you're inexperienced with captive rings, its best to see your piercer when you want to change the jewelry so you don't damage your jewelry, or more importantly, your piercing.
