Dancers will need the right ballroom dance shoes to dance in if they decide to take up ballroom dancing. Men usually prefer black ballroom dance shoes. Flesh colored ballroom dance shoes are preferred during competitions since it elongates a woman's leg line.

Can standard ballroom shoes be used for latin ballroom?

my friend accidentally bought standard ballroom shoes(men) for me. Is it possible to use it for latin ballroom? I know it lacks the height and poise for the guys......

I see no reason why you can't use a good set of Capezios for whatever style of ballroom you're doing. Height and poise come from posture and proper step placement, not from the man's footwear.
