While it may be true that the slight majority of U.S. colleges offer some type of dance classes, the majority of colleges do NOT offer comprehensive, degree-granting, dance programs with a wide array of class offerings. Some college's dance classes are offered through theatre departments, others through physical education departments. Some are offered as low-level electives to serve as "fine arts" requirements. College dance programs are so different that you need to be specific in finding the right program to meet your needs.
